I am so excited to share the pictures from my latest maternity photo shoot in Ottawa. We decided to capture pictures both in studio and outdoors in the woods, all on the same property in Carp, which is just on the outskirts of Ottawa. The result was some stunning maternity photos that I’m so proud to show you.
This beautiful mother was telling me that she never got the chance to take maternity photos for her other two children, so she made sure to get some done for her third little baby. I know sometimes towards the end of pregnancy, some women aren’t feeling their best and are often times very swollen – my feet were balloons! – so the last thing they want to do is get photos done. I totally get it! That’s why I always recommend to my clients that we book their session between 30-35 weeks pregnant. It’s the sweet spot of your beautiful belly being noticeable and round, but also successfully avoids the end of pregnancy which usually brings with it exhaustion and swelling.
This momma was also mentioning that she didn’t know the gender of this sweet babe. She’s so excited to find out and meet this little one. We didn’t find out with my first, and I was absolutely positive she was a boy, to the point that we were calling the baby by our boy name. My husband telling me that she was a girl is a moment I will never forget. So now I’m curious; did you find out the gender before hand? If not, did you have any idea what you were having, and did you end up being right or wrong in your guess?
